Dr. Alexander Lee

Dr. Alexander Lee is a board-eligible general surgeon with advanced training in minimally invasive and foregut surgery. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, New York, where he gained broad experience in general, laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgery. He is currently completing a Minimally Invasive Surgery and Advanced Foregut Fellowship with Long Island Laparoscopic Surgery in Port Jefferson, New York. Dr. Lee earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Cedarville University, where he graduated with honors.

During residency, Dr. Lee served as Administrative Chief Resident and was recognized with the Above and Beyond Award in General Surgery as well as the Resident Teacher of the Year Award. His professional interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, bariatric surgery, foregut surgery, hiatal hernia repair, and advanced endoscopic techniques. He also has a strong interest in surgical innovation, gastrointestinal stapling technology, perioperative outcomes, and improving recovery and patient care following minimally invasive surgery.
