Arif Ahmad, MD, FACS, FRCS

Dr. Arif Ahmad specializes in the laparoscopic gastric bypass, the sleeve gastrectomy and the lap band. He was the first surgeon in the area to have performed the laparoscopic gastric bypass and the Robotic Assisted gastric bypass. Dr. Ahmad is renowned in the Long Island area for his impeccable track record of safety and success. He is the author of innovative surgical techniques in the field of laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Dr. Ahmad started and currently is the Director of Bariatric surgery at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, where he currently performs most of his surgeries. He is a member of American Society of Bariatric Surgery, Fellow of American College of Surgeons, and member of Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.

Jason J. Arellano, MD

Dr. Arellano joined our practice in July of 2014. He specializes in surgery on the gastrointestinal tract, including diseases of the esophagus (reflux), stomach, gall bladder, colon, and hernia repair. In addition to laparoscopic surgery, he has extensive training in both robotic and endoscopic surgery.

Farhad Anoosh MD

After graduating from medical school with honors from Tabriz University , Dr Anoosh completed general surgical training at the New York Medical College. During his residency he rotated as chief surgical resident at Weill Medical College, Cornell University. He then completed a minimally invasive bariatric fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he accepted the academic appointment of clinical instructor of surgery.

Ashish Agarwala, DO

Dr. Agarwala specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. This is cutting edge surgery done with small incisions and minimal pain and scarring. In addition to laparoscopic gastric bypass, banding, and sleeve, this includes surgical procedures of the abdomen such as surgery of the stomach, esophagus (reflux), gallbladder, colon, spleen, and hernia repair.
